Clothing Swap

In the afternoon of April 7th, Alpha Photojournalism’s very first school event took place. After school, a clothing swap dedicated to students who wanted to revamp their closets after spring cleaning attracted a number of students. Interested students were assigned to find several unwanted articles of clothing of their own to bring to the drama studio during lunch where Alpha’s Photojournalism team would inspect and organize them.
Guests would later come back with their tickets and go on a hunt for new threads among the piles of donated shirts, bottoms, outfits and accessories. Everyone was allowed to take home as many items of clothing they wanted; first come, first serve. If the concept of completely redesigning your wardrobe for a mere price of $5 wasn’t already enough, an unlimited supply of popcorn was also available! While enjoying free bags of popcorn, everyone had a blast trying on different clothing items, hosting their own mini fashion shows and most of all, going home with a handful of new clothes. After the fun had ended and everyone had claimed what they wanted, all the remaining clothing was donated to Big Brothers Canada.
