Another Christmas has come and gone and Alpha celebrated by hosting a Ho-Ho-Ho Down! Student Council planned an event in lieu of Pancakes with Santa. On December 16th, 2016, students were dismissed from classes at 1:20 pm and invited to the large gym to participate in Christmas themed activities. Students took pictures with Santa, made holiday cards and laughter filled the air while students and staff square danced in the middle of the gym.

On December 2nd, Alpha’s Leadership class visited the CBC Vancouver Newsroom during their annual Open House and Food Bank Day. Every holiday season, the Open House and Food Bank Day has been raising money for food banks by collecting either monetary donations or food donations such as the food items collected by Leadership. The open house comprised of a tour of the CBC newsroom, editing and control room, the French news department, CBC music, and CBC radio. Leadership also learned how how CBC managed their website and social media presence. |
