Alpha’s Enviro Club, the main environmental group within the school, has been active throughout the year. From raising baby salmon in classrooms to organizing events like “Dining in the Dark”, their actions through the school have had an overall positive effect. To spread this positivity to younger students, the Alpha Enviro Club travelled to Lochdale Elementary on January 27th to lead various workshops. At these workshops, members of the Enviro Club taught Students in Grades 2-4 students to reuse newspapers and make newspaper bags.

Throughout high school, there are plenty of expenses for students to worry about. One surprising event, however, tends to sneak up on Grade 12 students - the year end dinner-dance. Trying to find the perfect dress, the best fitting suit, and the nicest shoes can be a hassle, especially on a student budget. The Promject, organized by Ms. Wirick’s senior leadership class, was aimed towards students that can’t afford expensive clothing for their big night. |
