Alpha Track

This track season, Alpha had a great turnout, with many grades participating. Alpha students took part in sprints such as the 100-metre dash and longer distances like the 1500 and 3000-metre races. Many of our athletes qualified for the Provincials which is an absolutely amazing achievement, considering only the top two in the Lower Mainland get to participate.

“I loved seeing so many Juniors that came out, and they all did fantastic!” said Rai-Ann Leung, the Alpha Track Team Coordinator. “I hope next year we’ll have more participants so we can have more of a team aspect.”

“Each and everyone was so supportive and encouraging,” said Kelsey Kanyamuna, a Grade Eight team member. “I could hear them cheering me on during my races!”

To make these accomplishments even more extraordinary, several students qualified for the Finals, which only the top eight in the entire province have the opportunity to attend. Let’s make next year even better!
